How to Reach Ganga Choti?

By Car

Ganga Choti is a hilltop in Sudhan Gali which is located 174 km from Islamabad and 23 km from Bagh City.

Starting from Zero Point Islamabad, head southbound on the Islamabad Expressway and turn left from Khana Pul towards Lehtrar. Drive past the towns of Lehtrar, Kotli Sattiyan and enter Bagh city.

From Bagh turn towards Sudhan Gali and climb up the hill. Near the top of the hill is a hotel called Benazir Palace. Back in 2016, you had to park your car here and proceed forward on a jeep. But now, a paved road may have been built till further up in which case you can take your own car.

Hike to Ganga Choti

At the end of the road, you will disembark from your vehicle at a flat ground preceding the Ganga Choti hill. From here, the hilltop can be reached by a 45 min hike up the green-grassed hill. Start off by crossing the ground and move towards its right side. From there start hiking up the hill. Reaching the top is fairly straightforward, just stay on the ridge and keep climbing and you will eventually reach the top.

At the top of the hill you will be immersed within the clouds. From time to time the clouds will clear and you will be able to gaze upon the amazing views of the green Kashmiri valleys down below. These views make Ganga Choti an incredibly picturesque location which must be visited at least once.
